Play Audition Instructions

Fall Upper School auditions are for both the Fall Play and the Competition One Act! To audition for the Upper School One Act, Saint Joan, and for the Upper School Fall Play, The Play That Goes Wrong, you will need to prepare one monologue/scene per show!.

• Saint Joan

  In the linked folder there are audition monologues. Please select the monologue that you prefer based on character or material. You will be considered for all relevant characters regardless of the monologue you choose.

• The Play That Goes Wrong

  Please select one of the scene options. You will read the lines of the character whose name appears in the title (I.e. if the title says “TPTGW - Chris” then you will read Chris’ lines). The other lines will be read by a member of the production team. If a character has two pieces of material, select whichever scene/monologue you prefer.

• CALLBACKS

  • Saint Joan:

    Callbacks for this production will consist of scene/monologue work as assigned. You will receive an email regarding what materials to prepare.

  • The Play That Goes Wrong:

    You will be assigned a monologue from a separate play. Your task is to make the monologue go wrong. You can do this however you choose, just please be advised you are being asked to do “The Monologue Goes Wrong” not “The monologue performed badly”

**Please note, if you are auditioning for both shows (Saint Joan and The Play That Goes Wrong) you only need ONE audition slot.

Please also note: callback materials are available in a separate section below. These are provided only for reference and preparation in case you are called back. They do not need to be prepared for your initial audition.
